POP nakaro started with a practical question: What would happen if creator Tim San Fillippo treated himself like his own best client? What began as an opportunity to showcase years of experience in branding, writing, design and video production quickly became something bigger — a platform for exploring the people, places and passions that shape pop culture across Louisiana and the Gulf South.

In this wide-ranging conversation with the New Dad Order podcast, Tim talks about the experiences that eventually led to POP nakaro — from comics and collecting to teaching, mission work, Hurricane Katrina recovery, community service and a career spent telling other people’s stories.
